You want to be on the skate as easy as you can? Whether you're a beginner, athlete or racer, the right preparation of skating runs is the basis. SlideAnd it's the details that make the ordinary driving an experience.

1) What is different from the classic

Unlike the classic runs they have skate skis:

  • harder chamber (higher slip pressure),

  • shorter length,

  • and have no reflection zone - the entire area is waxed for maximum glide.

So no compromises - Here everything is waxedFrom toe to toe.

2-type skate running and approaches to preparation

Modern skate runs differ in material, construction and type of slide. Care depends on the level of the skier and expected conditions.

Type of running

Description

Care / preparation

Experience from practice

Suitable conditions (° C / type of snow)

Recreation (touring)

Stable, wider skis for beginners, often with lower profile.

1-2 × per season liquid or universal wax, occasional cleaning of slide.

Ideal for learning skating techniques and trips along modified routes.

-10 to + 2 ° C, soft to frozen snow.

Sports performance

The lighter core, faster slides, requires regular care.

Wax after every 2-3 ride, occasional structure.

Excellent compromise of performance and simplicity.

-8 to 0 ° C, dry or slightly wet snow.

Racing / profi

High performance skis with hard chamber and precise structure of slide.

Each ride = new wax, manual structure + fluorine or paraffin waxes.

Maximum speed, but they require experience and equipment.

ITEM -15 to + 5 ° C, various structures according to the type of snow and humidity.

3 WAY TO WAKE SKATE SKATS STEP BY STEP

  1. Clean the slide - Use a wax cleaner or a special brush.

  2. Choose the right wax –

    • Hard wax (blue, green) = frost and dry snow

    • Soft wax (red, yellow) = warmer, wet snow

  3. Zatavo wax iron (110- 140 ° C by type of wax)

  4. Let it cool a scrape off the plastic scraper

  5. Brush tip to toe - copper, nylon and finally fine finish brush

  6. Profi tip: Add fluorine finish or liquid booster just before the ride

Recommended waxes

Comments from practice

🟢 Beginner

Universal liquid wax (e.g. SWIX F4, Toko Express)

Quick application, suitable for recreational rides.

🔵 Sports runner

Paraffin waxes (e.g. SWIX HS, Rod R20-R40)

Better slide and stamina, suitable for longer trips.

🔴 Profi Racer

Fluorine waxes, structuring (e.g. Holmenkol, Rex, Vahti Pure Race)

Maximum power, necessary accuracy and equipment.

5 Â When skate runs go best

Skate feels best on solid, hard and smooth track- The ideal is:

  • temperature -8 to -2 ° C,

  • snow humidity up to 80%,

  • snow fine, well-witted.

It hurts (literally) on soft snow, it slips too much on ice.

6 s s o n t i on s o n t h e s

  • After every run, wipe dry and let the "exhale."

  • Give them before the season in-depth paraffin wax - it'll last longer and the slide will stay alive.

  • If skis don't go, it often helps brush, not extra wax.

  • And most importantly - No brakes on the skate, there's a flight! 💨

7 SUMMARY

  • Beginner = liquid wax, simple maintenance.

  • Athletic = regular waxing, quality paraffin.

  • Racer = structure, fluorine, precision. Whether you're "on the cool" or full gasWith the skate runs well-prepared, it's a ride you'll never forget.
