Description of route
1. Default point: Kvilda
The trip begins in Kvilda, the Šumava village, which is the popular starting point for cross-country trips. From there the trail will lead you towards the sources of the Vltava, one of the main Šumava attractions.
2. The section to the sources of the Vltava
The path to the springs is gradually rising, but thanks to regularly maintained tracks it is pleasant. After a short break at the springs you continue towards Bucina.
3. Output to Bucina
The route to Bucina is physically more demanding, but the reward will be beautiful views to the border area. Bučina is famous for its history and beautiful panoramas for the Šumava landscape and the Alps in good weather.
4. Return to Kvilda
The return path leads the same route, but thanks to the mostly declining profile you will enjoy it as a relaxing part of the trip.
Refreshments
